Sr. Vice President of Operations named Volunteer of the Year

Catherine Slatter, Sr. Vice President of Operations, has been awarded Volunteer of the Year from Saint Joseph’s Catholic School. Not only did Catherine invest over 1,000 hours of her own time last year, but she also: 1) raised $4 million in seed funding to build a new building for the school; 2) created a new strategy for the St. Joseph’s Catholic Schools Advisory Board of Directors; 3) prepared a detailed plan to provide new scholarships for children living in Inner City Ogden; and 4) identified numerous new strategic partners for the organization. Catherine has made an incredible impact on the organization through her leadership and creativity.

Principal Nancy R. Essary, says this of Catherine and her devotion to the school, “She has gone above and beyond, giving of her time, talent and treasure. She has been involved with every group and committee we have at the school. If you ask Catherine to do something, you know she will give it her all and the result will be better than you could have imagined.”

Nelson Mandela once said: “History will judge us by the difference we make in the everyday lives of children.” Making a difference in the life of a child can foster positive outcomes for many future generations. Catherine is an amazing force for good among our youth. Our communities are blessed by her goodwill, devotion and enthusiasm for nurturing an optimistic environment for successful learning.
